The conference Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA), Days of Applied Microeconomics, takes place every year in a different Univeristy if France, in a French-speaking countriy or in a border country. It brings together academics and researchers, seniors, juniors, or Ph-D students, whose research contributes to the literatures in applied microeconomics.

The 34th edition will be held in Le Mans (France), Thursday 1 June and Friday 2 June 2017. It is organizd by GAINS, the Deprtment of Econmics and Management of the University of Le Mans.

Professor of Economics, University Toulouse 1 Capitole

 Thierry Magnac

Thierry Magnac has been a Professor of Economics at the University of Toulouse since 2005. His research agenda is set on empirical issues in the economics of education, labor or consumption and on methodological issues in microeconometrics. He has received an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council in 2012 regarding the structural modelling of the dynamics of microeconomic behavior. He is one of the coeditors of the Journal of Applied Econometrics and he is a Member of the Council of the Econometric Society.

Job market

Ph.D. candidates and post-doctoral researchers will have the opportunity to participate in the Job Market organized during the conference. The placement service will facilitate job seekers to introduce themselves to future employers. To this end, Research Centers will communicate their contact in the program.


Special issue to be published in Revue Economique

The Revue Economique (CNRS 2 et HCERES A) will devote a special issue for this conference in september 2018.
